1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicantsDirect message the job poster from Montgomery AdvisoryManager, In-House Legal at Montgomery AdvisoryWe are working with a leading independent Australian corporate law firm to identify a strong disputes lawyer (2 to 4 yrs) with either experience in, or keen interest to practise in, construction law.The construction practice at this major law firm has been widely-regarded as the pre-eminent group in the country for a number of years.ConstructionThe construction team undertakes some of the most complex, significant and high-profile infrastructure, construction, engineering and mining projects and matters in the Asia-Pacific region.The team covers the full range of construction matters including:advice on all aspects of their projects (including pre-contract, project delivery methods, project finance, procurement, drafting standard and bespoke construction contracts)contract administration and interpretationall forms of construction claimslitigationalternative dispute resolution (including mediation, expert determination, and arbitration (including international arbitration)).Position DescriptionThis major law firm is looking to hire an outstanding 2 to 4 year disputes'' lawyer to work with a senior partner.You will act for a range of clients including owners, developers, project sponsors, financiers, project managers, consultants, and government agencies at local, state and federal level on a mix of dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration, mediation and expert determination.You will work very closely with your supervising partner, however,given the structure of the team you will also have the opportunity to work with other partners and senior resources from time to time.RequirementsYou will be an intermediate level lawyer with between 2 to 4 years'' construction disputes experience.
