We are proud to introduce an exciting opportunity within Global Retail Brands, Australia''s premier specialty homewares retailer, boasting a vast network of 300 stores nationwide. We are actively seeking a dynamic Junior Demand Planner to join our planning team.The Junior Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting customer demand, optimising inventory levels, and ensuring product availability to meet business needs. This role collaborates cross-functionally with supply chain, merchandising, sales, and finance teams to develop accurate demand forecasts that drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in demand planning or supply chain management, and a keen understanding of retail trends.Key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:Develop, manage, and maintain demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and seasonalityCollaborate with key stakeholders to align demand plans with business objectives and supply constraintsAnalyse sales patterns, inventory levels, and customer buying behaviours to optimize stock replenishment strategiesWork closely with merchandising and sales teams to incorporate new product launches, markdowns, and promotional events into the forecastMonitor forecast accuracy and adjust demand plans as necessary to minimize stockouts and excess inventoryUtilize demand planning software and analytics tools to improve forecast reliabilityCommunicate demand insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-makingIdentify and mitigate risks related to demand fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, and market dynamicsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, reduce costs, and improve service levelsProactive approach to problem solvingAbout you:1-3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, inventory management, or related roles within a retail environment Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related fieldStrong analytical skills with advanced expertise in Excel and data analysis toolsUnderstanding of retail sales cycles, seasonal demand fluctuations, and inventory management best practicesProficiency in demand forecasting tools and ERP systemsThis full-time position offers the opportunity for you to join a fast-paced, highly dynamic design team and environment, and to help support and contribute towards the growth of Global Retail Brands.
