There are nine surgical specialties in Australasia being: Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.About the roleIn this role you will lead and support our nurse coordinator team, ensuring the successful delivery of surgical skills training courses across Australia and New Zealand.In this bi-national leadership role, youll oversee a team of nurse coordinators and play a key part in delivering high-quality surgical skills training activities. Your responsibilities will include: Leading recruitment, onboarding and ongoing support of nurse coordinators Coordinating course delivery, including instructor training events Supporting operational planning, logistics, reporting and quality assurance Fostering collaboration, professional development and cultural competence among nurse coordinators Working with internal stakeholders and external partners (venues, suppliers) to ensure smooth course deliveryYou will foster a collaborative team environment through professional development opportunities and regular communication. You will also work to implement new policies and procedures as required and report to governing committees on coordinator activities.Skills and ExperienceRegistered Nurse with current APHRA registrationExperience in trauma, training, ICU, or ED environments.Ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals and demonstrate leadershipEffective problem-solving, decision-making and communication abilitiesRecent experience in administrative tasks and proficiency with Microsoft OfficeLeadership and team building skillsThis role is part time, 4 days per week and includes occasional weekend work (up to five weekends annually) to support instructor courses.
