We believe that individual differences, perspectives, and experiences make us even better at the work we do and should be recognised, respected, and valued.The RoleThe Contracts Administrator will be involved in both the pre-award and post-award phases of our contracts, working closely with internal teams and external partners to help keep our operation running smoothly.In the pre-award phase, youll be responsible for putting together tender documents, sending out invitations to tender or requests for quotation, and managing the entire review process. That includes handling commercial clarifications, evaluating tenders, and negotiating with bidders. Youll also be drafting recommendations for contract awards, finalising contracts, and preparing purchase orders for various on-site works. You''ll work closely with other departments like delivery, cost control, and finance to ensure everything is aligned.Once contracts are awarded, your focus will shift to contract management. This includes reviewing and advising on contractor claims (like extensions of time and variations), drafting variations, and making sure contractors are sticking to the agreed terms. Youll also handle key tasks like writing contractual letters, managing insurance and security provisions, and reviewing progress claims and invoices. The successful candidate will also prepare payment certificates and ensure theyre processed on time. At the end of the contract lifecycle, youll manage close-out processes, including the release of securities and issuing completion certificates.About You:To be successful in this role you will have at least 7 years of experience working as a contracts administrator, preferably within the multi-disciplinary major projects sector. You will have a degree or diploma in Business, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or Cost Engineering. You will have knowledge of industry specific contracting practises who has used various contracting models including EPC, EPCM, EPCMI, D&C, BOOT, using Schedule of Rate, lump sum, hard dollar contracts.
