OPA values a range of experience in its employees, including professional, volunteer and lived experience.About The RoleThe Guardianship Support Officer (GSO) oversees the general running of the Advocate Guardian team through the triaging of VCAT orders, maintaining and managing the team monitoring list, responding to enquiries about individual guardianship orders and undertaking secondary referrals for information or to progress applications.Some Of Your Duties Will IncludeAsissting in the triage of matters received by the team to enable those matters to be considered for allocation in consultation with the team leader and other team membersMaking recommendations to the team leader, in respect of any urgent or serious issues arising from files which may require a delegated guardianship decisionResponding to calls from represented persons, families and professionals for matters.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About YouAs our ideal candidate, you will possess:Knowledge of the Victorian human services sector, particularly the NDIS, mental illness and aged care service systemsAn understanding of the issues relating to disability, including mental illness and age -related disabilityAn understanding and ability to apply advanced computer skills to complex word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, or database functions.How To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
