Reporting to theExecutive Chef, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Kitchen department.Duties:Wash and sanitise dishes,utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment, using industrial dishwashing machines or hand-washing when necessary.Clean and maintain dishwashing machines and report any malfunctions or issues to management.Operatedish washing machine as per instruction manualProperly dispose of waste, garbage, and recycling materials.Actioncleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and sculleryEnsureall kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.Ensurecorrect handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturers instructions.Prepare mise-en-place as requiredPromote a safe workplace byrecognisinghazards and promoting general WHS practicesOccasionally help kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks (e.g., chopping vegetables, filling water containers) if required.Rotational rosterQualificationsPrevious experience in a commercial kitchen environment.Preferred experience within the hospitality or hotel industryUnderstanding of food safety requirements.Ability to work under pressureMUSThave flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings and weekendsMUST have working rights within AustraliaSkills:Time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.Attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are met.Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.Flexibility to adapt to various duties in the kitchen.The successful applicant will need to have existing full working rights within AustraliaAdditional InformationEmployee Benefits for your hard work!Work with two iconic businesses and experience the buzz of the working in the Aviation industryGreat Staff Travel Benefits (T&C Apply)Access to staff duty-free storeFree meal and coffee on shiftsHotel discounts (staff rates) at over 3000 hotels globallyPartnership discounts with companies such as Europcar, Google, and more..Hospitality Industry General Award, Kitchen Hand - Grade 1 ($24.10 base rate)Note: Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Federal Police check at their own cost via our ID system(Will be reimbursed once approved)in order to gain ASIC certification.Are you looking to climb the ladder in the hospitality industry?
