As a Guest Attendant, youll develop a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with residents and their families, offering support options and programs that enrich their daily health and well-being. As part of a team, you will contribute to a culture focused on helping residents live fully, every day.The Guest Attendant reports to the Director of Wellness and is responsible for assisting with activities of daily living and housekeeping services, ensuring exceptional customer service. This role may also support recreation programs across different locations.The role requires performing duties aligned with the organizations core values, ensuring resident safety, and demonstrating customer service excellence.Responsibilities:Assist residents with daily activities such as eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing, according to their care plans, promoting independence and observing changes.Respond promptly to call bells and door alarms, providing courteous service.Transport residents as needed to various locations within the facility.Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned.Interact respectfully with residents, families, and report concerns to supervisors.Practice safe food handling during all food-related activities.Participate in resident admission and transfer processes.Collaborate with other staff and outside agencies to ensure continuity of care.Communicate issues related to resident care or safety to the Director of Wellness.Document incidents and complete required reports.Engage residents in activities as required.Maintain personal grooming and dress appropriately.Keep the facility clean and presentable.Greet visitors positively and offer assistance.Foster positive communication and relationships with team members.Report incidents and participate in safety drills and training.Follow health and safety policies, use PPE, and maintain infection control standards.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Must have Safe Serve certification and at least one year of dining service experience.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Current CPR certification; guest attendant training recommended.Experience with seniors and knowledge of aging.Effective communication skills in English.Education:Minimum Grade 12 education.Working Conditions:Interaction with residents of diverse backgrounds.Variable lighting, exposure to outdoor elements, temperature variations.Physical activity including lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.Frequent walking and stair climbing; standing for long periods. #J-18808-Ljbffr
