Are you looking to join the fast-growing water truck industry? Welding Solutions is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead our operations and drive excellence across our business. This is a senior leadership role with high autonomy and strategic influence, pivotal to connecting business performance with client satisfaction. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the business, including production, quality, finance, sales performance, supplier relations, customer satisfaction, and team leadership. You will work closely with the Managing Director to shape the business strategy and ensure its successful execution through your teams. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Business Planning Define and drive strategic business plans aligned with company goals Monitor KPIs and adjust operations for optimum performance Embed Lean principles to eliminate waste and enhance efficiency Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement Oversee workshop production through the Workshop Manager Ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective performance Oversee the spare parts department Manage the Sales and Business development to ensure sales targets are met Manage budgets and monitor cost vs. actuals for internal and supplier operations Maintain strong relationships with clients and truck dealers Manage external suppliers, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost goals are met Handle warranty issues and corrective actions with professionalism Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement Implement and uphold Quality, Health & Safety standards Drive continuous improvement across supply chain and internal processes Lead initiatives to reduce costs, improve delivery times, and enhance product quality Oversee all aspects of inventory control, including stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy. Lead, train, and develop a team of parts interpreters and warehouse associates. Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Implement and maintain best practices for inventory handling, storage, and documentation. Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and operations departments to ensure efficient inventory flow. Monitor and report on key inventory KPIs such as shrinkage, turnover, and stock availability.
