Our kitchen does operate 7 days, and in return for your generous availability, we can work together on a roster that awards you great work-life balance.We want to hear from qualified Pastry Chefs, enthusiastic about working in our Sydney Production Kitchen.If youre our next superstar team member, you will be a qualified Pastry Chef with at least 2 years experience.Heres How Youll ShineProven experience in a Pastry Chef role.Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control that does not compromise operational efficiencies.Pride and understanding the impact the role of Pastry Chef has on the success of the store and Black Star Pastry brand.Maintain a good level of understanding of the restaurant and hospitality industry and trends.Build, maintain and contribute toward healthy teamwork and constructive working relationships.Communicate clearly, professionally, authentically, and concisely, with the ability to make informed decisions.Ability to be flexible and adapt to meet the changing demands of our agile business.Our BusinessBlack Star Pastry opened its first boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and since then we have grown into an institution with further stores in Rosebery, Chatswood, Sydney CBD, as well as Pop-Ups in Burwood and Broadway.We are most famous for our Strawberry Watermelon Cake which is still considered a social media sensation, with the New York Times declaring it the worlds most instagrammed cake.Ready to join our galaxy of superstars?Great!
