Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Breathe are looking for a Design Project Architect in a key role, leading exciting projects and contributing to our studios design design excellence.The ideal candidate will have outstanding all-round design abilities, as well as confident interpersonal and communication skills, who enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic studio environment.The successful applicant will be able to design and document their own projects, as well as have an enthusiastic and creative approach to sustainable design. We are looking for someone with local experience working as the lead in project delivery, consultant coordination, and detailing and documentation on complex residential and commercial projects.The Breathe team work incredibly hard and collaboratively on projects that are focused on social and environmental sustainability. We are relentless and always strive for the most meaningful solution.Key responsibilitiesLead and coordinate the design and documentation of multiple projects in a fast-paced team environmentRespond to complex issues with innovative solutions in a collaborative approachDeliver projects on time and on budgetWillingness to lead and mentor emerging designersEffectively manage clients, consultants and technical specialistsEnsure design integrity and intent are maintained throughout all phases.Encourage better design and sustainability outcomes for all projectsSkills and experienceMinimum 5+ years full-time post-graduate experienceExperience across a range of project typologies (commercial and multi-res preferred)Proven ability to lead multiple projects at once and work collaboratively in a design teamA strong portfolio with proven concept design to construction documentationContract administration and site experienceA solid understanding of BCA and Australian standardsCapable of working in a collaborating team environmentProficiency in ArchiCAD gained in professional practice (or a willingness to upskill prior to commencement)Self-motivated, with effective time management skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsWhy Breathe?Breathe transforms built environments into sustainable places to live, work, and thrive.We work across a wide range of project types from workplaces and learning spaces to hotels and hospitality; from multi-residential and mixed-use developments to alterations, additions, and interior fit outs.
