Join the team Seeking a driven and enthusiastic Procurement Operations Manager to develop and implement procurement plans and strategies to meet Kmart Group service requirements, challenge and motivate service providers to optimise service outcomes at a Brand level, and to enhance stakeholder engagement and promote collaboration across the Brands. This role will partner with stakeholders to develop innovative supply/service strategies, lead high-level negotiations, and successfully deliver procurement activities that achieve optimal service and commercial outcomes. What Youll Be Doing As a Procurement Operations Manager working for Kmart Group, you will: Ensure an effective governance process, approach to procurement, and contract management are integrated into procurement activities. Incorporate business insights and objectives into the development of strategies and develop innovative procurement solutions at a project/category/Brand level. Ensure contract agreements have provisions to monitor supplier performance against contracted deliverables. Develop procurement strategies based on market conditions, category/service analysis, and an in-depth knowledge of business demand and requirements. Monitor procurement and contract management risks and ensure that this informs contract development and ongoing contract management. Develop and engage in a range of approaches to generate solutions, seek SME inputs and advice to inform the negotiating strategies. Represent the organisation in critical negotiations, including those that are cross-divisional, achieving effective solutions in challenging relationships and conflicting positions and priorities. Establish strong supplier relationships with strategic suppliers at a strategic level and develop frameworks to identify and track benefits through supplier relationships. Investigate and create opportunities to enhance the achievement of organisational objectives. To be successful in this role, youll have: Strong experience in managing procurement processes, evaluation, and contract formation, minimum 5 years. Strong communication skills to efficiently communicate strategies and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders. Leadership experience in managing high-performing teams and building relationships. Ability to ensure effective governance, procurement, and contract management are integrated into activities. Experience in developing procurement strategies based on market conditions and business requirements. Attitude and aptitude to develop solutions, seek SME inputs, and inform negotiating strategies. Team mentality for collaboration, problem-solving, and process improvement. Multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work autonomously and deliver on commitments. Experience with major spend categories: Supply Chain, Marketing, IT, Store Operations (highly regarded). Track record of process improvements and innovations. Experience with organizational transformational projects in a leadership role (preferred).
