As a Payroll Officer overseeing Employment Heros internal + Global Teams payroll across multiple geographies, you will ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing internationally. Responsibilities include preparing payruns, collaborating with outsourced payroll providers, and coordinating with stakeholders across regions. You will also work with accounting and compliance teams to ensure payroll-related journals and filings are processed accurately and timely.The ideal candidate is a great communicator with stakeholder management experience and excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare payroll reports and analysis for internal + Global team employees (AU, NZ, UK), ensuring compliance with international payroll regulations.Work with outsourced payroll providers and EORs, reviewing payruns/invoices.Navigate and resolve issues/discrepancies across different countries and regions.Review WFH expenses.Coordinate with accountants for payroll filings and obligations (e.g., PAYG/PAYE, payroll tax, super, workers compensation).Serve as the primary contact for payroll matters within Finance.Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations.Assist with payroll cashflow forecasting and external audits.Propose and implement process improvements for payroll accuracy and efficiency.Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices.Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.Qualifications & Skills4+ years experience in a similar payroll role.Experience managing payroll in Australia, New Zealand, and UK; experience in other regions is a plus.Intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.Experience with KeyPay (Employment Hero Payroll) is essential.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to work autonomously and handle high-volume payroll processing.Discretion, ownership, and problem-solving skills.Our Culture & BenefitsAt Employment Hero, we foster a culture of innovation, flexibility, and growth.
