2026 Senior Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar (Accredited) Fixed Term - Full Time; for 2026 Clinical Year 86 Hours per fortnightAbout The RoleGrampians Health - Ballarat is currently seeking applications for an Accredited Registrar within the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department for the 2026 Clinical Year. The role is suited to senior O and G applicants (level 5 or 6 RANZCOG trainee). The O&G department sees approximately 1500 deliveries each year and has 2 caesarean and 6 gynaecology theatre sessions each week.The role involves primary operating under supervision with a focus on general gynaecology and obstetrics. Previous registrars in this role have gained competence in vaginal repair, vaginal hysterectomy, total laparoscopic hysterectomy, and abdominal hysterectomy, as well as in general minor gynaecology operations for skill development. The facility includes a new short-stay unit and modern emergency, critical care, ambulatory, aged care, and rehabilitation services, integrating inpatient, ambulatory, community, and home-based care.Grampians Health - Ballarat is a major training site for the University of Melbourne and Deakin Rural Clinical Schools. Senior staff are committed to teaching and the professional development of Interns, HMOs, and Registrars.The O&G department handles approximately 1300 deliveries each year and offers multiple gynaecology theatre sessions weekly.
