The paper we produce supplies our board facilities across Australia and New Zealand, where it is manufactured into cardboard packaging for the food and beverage industry.Reporting to the Reliability & Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in driving implementation of engineering best practice to increase overall plant efficiency, thus improving asset reliability and performance.Your strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure will suit this fast-paced environment. And your attitude where no job is too small, passion to learn new skills, and ability to lead by example, will fit right into the team.What you will doLead excellence in plant condition monitoring through participation / auditing of mechanical rounds completion and quality.Develop proactive and preventative maintenance initiatives through implementation of engineering analysis of plant performance.Investigate failures using Root Cause Analysis techniques, design and implement corrective and preventive solutions to eliminate the cause or to reduce the likelihood of failure.Facilitate JSEA and risk assessments with internal staff and external contractors.Understand and adhere to all Visy management systems, policies and procedures, and other regularity body requirements.What you will bringBachelors degree in engineering (mechanical) with minimum 5 years postgraduate experienceExperience in a 24/7 heavy manufacturing or processing environment - experience in pulp & paper would be advantageousStrong analytical skills, a high level of initiative and the ability to work autonomouslyContinuous improvement mindset with a solutions orientated approachFlexibility for on-call (rostered)What youll love when you join usSustainability: Contribute to sustainability initiatives that make a difference.Supportive Environment: Be part of a team that values safety, respect, and collaboration.Career Growth: Opportunities for further training and career advancement within the companyReady to make a difference?
