This is a client-facing role for a technically capable, chartered civil engineer with strong experience in road design, drainage, and pavements, and a solid grounding in project coordination and tender preparation.Your Role Will Include:Leading the design and documentation of roadworks, drainage, and pavement systems using industry-standard software (e.g. 12D, Civil 3D, AutoCAD)Collaborating with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutionsManaging and reviewing design deliverables for technical accuracy and complianceEngaging directly with clients, stakeholders, and authorities to guide project outcomesPreparing technical inputs for bids, tenders, and proposalsSupporting project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocationMentoring junior staff and contributing to a high-performance team cultureWhat You Bring:Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or near charteredMinimum 8 years experience in civil design with a focus on roads, drainage, and pavementsStrong knowledge of local standards, codes, and authority requirements (e.g. TfNSW, Austroads, local councils)Proficiency in design tools such as 12D, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MUSIC or DRAINSExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsDemonstrated experience working in a consultancy environment, with exposure to tendering and project leadershipWhy join the CJC team?At CJC we believe our people are at the centre of our organisation and we recognise that they are the key to our success.
