Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$120,829.00/yr - A$137,808.00/yrReporting directly to the Executive Director, Strategy and Innovation the Senior Project Officer is responsible for supporting the Commissions strategic reform and planning agenda. The Senior Project Officer, Strategy and Innovation will undertake research and analysis, policy development, and complex internal and external stakeholder management to support the development of strategic advice regarding current, evolving or emerging policy/operational issues.The Senior Project Officer will also support the Executive Director, Strategy and Innovation through the coordination and facilitation of meetings, development of briefings and resources, and assisting with liaison on key strategic projects. This includes support for the development and delivery of corporate reports and publications.As a key member of the Strategy and Innovation team, the Senior Project Officer will play a key role in collaborating with teams across the Commission to drive and coordinate cross-agency initiatives in line with organisational strategy.Duties of the Senior Project Officer will include, but are not limited to, the following:With the Executive Director, assist in shaping the Commissions strategic planning agenda, including facilitating reviews with the Executive, Board and Commission standing committees.Review, analyse and summarise published literature, data, policy papers and other published material to inform strategic policy and program direction.Prepare high-quality written reports, briefs and other documents for a range of audiences on complex healthcare issues.Assist in the development of the Commissions capacity in knowledge management.Support the coordination of the Commissions public reporting requirements including production of the Commissions strategic plan, annual report, key safety and quality reports, and communication plans.Maintain knowledge of strategic and current clinical issues, and identify opportunities for how they may be addressed by the Commission.Consult with experts and stakeholders, develop consultation strategies and coordinate consultation processes.Collaborate with other teams across the Commission to ensure alignment with other work programs and strategic priorities.Liaise, and foster productive working relationships with other agencies, clinical organisations, consumer groups, government authorities, industry bodies and contractors.Participate in, and present to, committee meetings, forums and workshops on relevant topics.Other duties as required and directed.The successful candidate will have:Demonstrated experience in developing strategic policy or programs in health care and/or safety and quality.Strong research, analytical and conceptual ability with the demonstrated capacity for sound judgement, innovative problem solving and ability to grasp the underlying concerns which may influence positions.Excellent writing skills, including the ability to produce high quality documents for a variety of audiences and in different formats.Demonstrated highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, in particular, an excellent ability to consult and negotiate with a wide variety of stakeholders.Demonstrated extensive experience in liaison, negotiation, and influencing and consultation skills, and ability to engage and develop relationships with senior stakeholders and to broker decisions through collaboration and consensus.For further information, please refer to the position description and applicant pack available from the Commissions website at: .To apply for this position, please complete and submit an application form through and upload:A CV summarising your relevant experience, qualifications and referee details (one of which must be your current supervisor).A statement addressing your suitability against each of the selection criteria (no more than 300 words per selection criteria).Candidates must be Australian citizens to be eligible to apply.PLEASE NOTE: This position will be offered in a hybrid model of office based (Sydney) and working from home, where operationally feasible.
