Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$160,000.00/yr - A$180,000.00/yrPeople in Payroll are proud to be partnering exclusively with a highly regarded, ASX-listed organization based in Melbourne, who are currently going through an exciting growth period.Were looking for an experienced Payroll Consultant to join the team on a contract basis, supporting a timekeeping uplift and broader payroll compliance initiative. This role will sit between Payroll, HR, and the Systems team and will play a critical part in translating complex pay rules into logical, auditable configurations.Key priorities in the role:Interpreting Awards, EBAs, and internal policies into system-ready timekeeping rules.Acting as the conduit between Payroll Operations and Technical teams clearly articulating what the configuration should look like, even if you''re not the one doing the build.Reviewing existing configurations to identify compliance gaps or inefficiencies.Providing insight and documentation around pay rule logic, ensuring systems reflect the intent and obligations of the organization.Supporting key transformation projects around timekeeping, HRIS, and payroll systems.What were looking for:Deep understanding of pay rules, overtime, allowances, and leave logic and how that should flow into time and attendance/payroll systems.Prior experience in payroll or system configuration roles (e.g. UKG/Kronos/SAP/Preceda) is highly regarded.Strong communication skills someone who can break down complex compliance rules and explain what good config looks like.Attention to detail, audit mindset, and a genuine interest in getting payroll right not just for now, but for the long term.If you''re a payroll expert with a strong systems lens and enjoy the challenge of getting under the hood of timekeeping rules this is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-calibre team at a pivotal time.This role is open to fully remote candidates who have the right level of experience!Keen to learn more?
