Whats On Offer The City of Kwinana is seeking passionate and driven Circularity Engagement Officers, to join the Environment and Waste Team on a casual basis to fulfill an exciting opportunity to directly contribute to community and sustainability outcomes. You will need to have knowledge of, or passion for, waste management, community behaviour change and good inter-personal skills as you will interact with members of the public. Reporting to the Circularity Lead, the Circularity Engagement Officers responsibilities include conducting manual audits of waste streams gathering quantitative and qualitative data and elevating community awareness about recycling and resource recovery, as well as being involved with events and programs that align to the City''s Waste Education Plan and overarching Strategic Community Plan. Please note: Your hours of work may vary and will be based on operational requirements. You may also be required to work on weekends for Events.What Youll Need To be successful in this role, you will need the following: Essential: Officers are required to work shifts a minimum of two hours on weekdays and when required for weekend events. Over 18 years of age with the ability to work in Australia (passport or appropriate work visa) A reasonable level of fitness and able to walk/stand for three hours. Mobile phone. Current Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence and access to a car (mileage will be paid for the use of your private vehicle). Current Police Clearance Desirable: Previous experience in waste, sustainability, or environmental management Ability to explain activity to members of the public Current knowledge of recycling rules Data entry experience Community engagement experience A passion for waste and sustainability Multilingual candidates, especially those proficient in Tagalog, Punjabi, Filipino, Mandarin and Hindi, are highly valued Public speaking Want To Know More?
