This role will be pivotal in managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, providing comprehensive accounting oversight, tax filing services, and strategic advisory support.The ideal candidate will be an expert accountant, with deep understanding of tax laws and compliance, be highly organized, and thrive in a client-facing, fast-paced environment. You will oversee the end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with client and regulatory expectations.Key Responsibilities:Tax Management and ComplianceManage and oversee all tax filings for clients, including income, payroll, sales, and franchise taxes.Ensure accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.Proactively advise clients on tax strategy, planning, and changes in tax legislation.Handle tax audits, respond to inquiries, and prepare supporting documentation.Accounting OversightSupervise client bookkeeping processes, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.Oversee the preparation and review of weekly, monthly, and annual reports for clients.Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, coordinating with clients and internal staff.Manage and mentor a team of accountants.Conduct audit or client books and lead the preparation of audited financial statements.Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, maintaining strong and proactive relationships.Lead client onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing compliance management.Provide expert guidance and support in financial planning, tax regulations, and business structure optimization.Prepare and present audited financial statements when required.Payroll OversightOversee client payroll processing, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.Manage client payroll schedules, reporting, and issue resolution.Lead and manage audit preparations, including internal controls and documentation.Manage and coordinate customer financial audits and due diligence requests.Qualifications:Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (active and in good standing) Required.5+ years of relevant experience in tax filing, accounting, and client management.Demonstrated experience managing multiple client accounts in a fast-paced environment.Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, federal and state tax codes, payroll regulations, and compliance procedures.Strong understanding of audit standards and processes.Proven ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly and effectively to clients.Proficient in accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Lacerte, UltraTax, etc.).Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Skills:Experience in a public accounting firm or client service environment.Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.Compensation includes a competitive salary and commission, with professional development opportunities and CPA CPE support.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustriesBusiness Consulting and Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
