We seek a proactive individual who can collaborate on marketing strategies, represent the firm in networking events, and support the expansion of our construction practice through tailored client solutions.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrafting and negotiating construction and commercial agreements.Acting for owners, contractors, and government in relation to a broad range of infrastructure projects in various industry sectors, including local government, State government or Commonwealth government, aged care and retirement living, schools, water infrastructure, residential developments, waste and resource recovery, and sporting and aquatic facilities.Advising on a range of procurement methods, including traditional methods (construct only), design and construct (D&C), relationship contracting (collaborative contracting, managing contractor and alliances), public private partnerships/project finance, and facilities operation and maintenance.Drafting standard form tendering and contract documentation.Claims management.Contributing to business development and marketing activities, as well as legal precedents in Russell Kennedy''s sectors of focus.Involvement in the supervision and mentoring of both junior lawyers, and law graduates, fostering their professional development and growth within our team.Skills/KnowledgeDemonstrated experience in major projects work, infrastructure, construction (commercial and domestic).Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas or frameworks clearly.Well-developed initiative, with a demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically.A self-starter, capable of working independently with limited supervision.Further InformationAny questions regarding the vacancy can be directed to Heidi Connell on (03) 9609 1517.
