Role title: Licensing Operations Specialist Grade: 7/8 Business unit/Organisation: Digital Licensing Program, SafeWork NSW Location: Gosford Reason for vacancy: Project Team temporary position Term: Temporary to 30 June 2026 Closing Date: 16th June 2025 (9:59am) About the team: The new temporary Digital Licensing Project Team sits within the SafeWork NSW Authorisations & Verifications Directorate in the Regulatory Capability & Harm Prevention stream. The team is responsible for the governance and management of the transition of all SafeWork licenses from GLS to the Licence NSW Amanda platform by 30 June 2026. Role overview: This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong SafeWork licensing operations background who can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. The role requires self-motivation and adaptability to changing priorities and ad-hoc requests. Ideal candidate: The ideal candidate will have a robust background in SafeWork licensing operations. Experience working with Service NSW (SNSW), particularly in over-the-counter and contact centre operations, is highly advantageous. You should be able to provide high-level guidance and advice about systems functionality with keen attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and knowing when to escalate issues are essential. Excellent communication skills are necessary for engaging diverse stakeholders. Key attributes: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and track project milestones and deadlines. Proficiency in written and verbal communication for coordination with team members and stakeholders. Ability to identify trends and provide feedback on system functionality, recognizing key risks. Prepare documentation to escalate issues or seek approval for resolution. Analyze data, evaluate performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to meet project objectives.
