Youll be responsible for leading the team, managing day to day performance, and ensuring we consistently deliver to our customers. If you thrive in fast paced transport environments and have a drive to mentor teams and deliver results this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesYoull oversee the end to end operations of our SA branch, ensuring our service promise to customers is met through safe, compliant, and efficient logistics practices. Core duties include: Driving productivity while maintaining high safety and compliance standards Managing fatigue and National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, regulations effectively Overseeing trailer dispatch and inbound/ outbound freight consolidation Coaching and developing your team to achieve operational excellence Manage operational productivity and cost control Drive a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence Build strong relationships with internal teams and customers alikeWhat Youll Bring Minimum 2 years experience in a senior transport or logistics leadership role Deep understanding of NHVR legislation and compliance Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop operational teams Strong business acumen and critical decision making skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills Familiarity with Industrial Relations and Employee Relations processes (advantageous) High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure Calm, solutions focused mindset under pressure A strong customer focus and ability to build lasting relationshipAbout Us:GKR Transport, established in 1985, specialises in providing transport, storage, and logistics services to a wide range of industries, including automotive, industrial, heavy haulage, mining, and more.
