$80,000 $110,000 per year + company vehicleMSS Group is a privately owned company that employs over 250 people in service delivery and specialist trades in Australia and New Zealand.Our in-house team of project managers, construction supervisors, site foremen and building tradespeople support your projects from start to finish.Our experience includes renovations, refurbishments, upgrades and expansions to property facilities in Aged Care, Retirement Living, Retail and Commercial Sectors Prisons and detention centres.For more information about the company visit our website:www.mssgroup.com.au/ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to oversee refurbishment projects across aged care and retirement living facilities in Salamander Bay, Koombala, Newcastle, and surrounding suburbs.As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of onsite operations, ensuring all refurbishment work is completed according to scope, to a high standard, and within scheduled timelines. You will coordinate tradespeople and subcontractors, manage project scheduling, and ensure strict adherence to Work Health and Safety (WHS) standardsThis is a full-time permeant position, reporting to a Senior Project Manager. Normal working hours are 7 AM - 3 PM, Monday to Friday. Company Vehicle, Fueld Card provided.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise and coordinate all onsite construction and refurbishment activitiesEnsure works are completed to scope, quality, and safety requirementsSchedule and manage tradespeople and subcontractorsConduct site inductions and toolbox talksMonitor and enforce WHS compliance onsiteLiaise with project managers and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project updatesMaintain a clean, safe, and professional site environmentSupervise and direct the activities of on-site workers and subcontractors.Ensure sub-contractors inducted, sign in, and compliant in rapidOversee the daily construction onsite, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for the Project Manager.Conduct quality inspections and ensure that any defects are correctedConduct weekly site inspections and audits in Rapid Inductto ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.Ensure all documentations are up to date and properly filed in SharePointREQUIREMENTSProven experience in a similar Site Supervisor , Foreman or Leading Hand, ideally within aged care or retirement living projectsStrong knowledge of building and safety regulationsAbility to read and interpret plans and scopes of workExcellent communication, leadership, and organisational skillsTrade qualification in carpentry, electrical work, or be a qualified builderExperience in similar refurbishment projectsWhite Card and current drivers licencePolice Check (or willingness to obtain)Valid work rights in AustraliaValid drivers licenseCovid VaccinatedWilling to get Flu Vaccination annuallyWHY JOIN THE TEAM?Career path into Project ManagementCompany provided Vehicle, fuel card, laptop, phoneReward and recognition programsStudy assistance program availableMental health and wellbeing programUniform, PPE and safety boots providedCompany funded footy tipping compMonthly Site Supervisor breakfast catch-upQuarterly team social events/ annual year end celebrationsAPPLY NOWWe are looking to fill the position asap.
