About The Role Ventia is currently seeking experienced Site Supervisors for our Defence Base Services contract at Robertson Barracks in Darwin NT. Your primary responsibilities will include providing high-level customer service, managing key stakeholders, and supervising and coordinating building trades to effectively maintain, repair, replace, and ensure the integrity and performance of facilities and equipment within the Defence contract. Supervise and oversee estate upkeep subcontractors as required. Implement and issue the Ventia Permit to Work System; conduct site audits of work activities. Manage safety documentation and conduct operational process confirmations as needed. Supervise Ventia Field Leads, managing their performance and coaching for improvement. Participate in subcontractor and project management quality control activities, including validation of work scope completion and value-for-money assessments. Coordinate site access, including inductions, access to drawings and maps, and escorts for subcontractors. Establish and maintain on-base relationships with key client and customer representatives. Ensure all work-related information is accurately entered into relevant systems in a timely manner. Skills & Experience Building, trade, or tertiary qualifications are desirable. Experience in the building or commercial maintenance industry is highly desirable. Strong focus on safety principles and awareness. Experience managing trade teams, subcontractors, and estate upkeep services is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and maintain positive relationships. Understanding of project management and service delivery principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software. Knowledge of the Permit to Work System; qualifications in high-risk disciplines are highly desirable. Current Australian Driver''s License. Additional Requirements The successful candidate must be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance up to Neg Vet Level 1. Therefore, Australian citizenship is required.
