The successful candidate will lead an innovative faculty equipped with industry-relevant technologies such as CNC machinery, CAD/CAM tools, and 3D printing equipment.Our school boasts a unique culture, strong community support, experienced staff, and outstanding student leaders. Located in the heart of Beenleigh, we foster creative and supportive learning environments to enable students to connect and thrive.About The RoleThe Head of Department (HOD) will lead curriculum development and teaching excellence in ITD and Digital Technology, aligning programs with school priorities and departmental initiatives. The role emphasizes innovation, student engagement, and future-focused learning.The curriculum covers junior and senior secondary levels. Years 7-10 focus on Junior Design Technology aligned with the Australian Curriculum. Senior years offer applied learning in Building and Construction Skills, Engineering Skills, and Furnishing Skills, providing industry-connected, hands-on experiences.The HOD will also lead the expansion of vocational education offerings within the ITD facility, ensuring curriculum delivery, safety, and digital integration to prepare students for a rapidly evolving technical world.Key ResponsibilitiesLead curriculum planning, assessment, and delivery in ITD and Digital Technology.Support staff development and promote industry-relevant teaching practices.Foster safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments.Build relationships with students, staff, industry partners, and the community.Support the implementation of strategic goals aligned with the Department of Education.Accountable to the Principal or delegate, operating within policies and strategic frameworks.
