The focus of the Senior Ranger (Mulgalands) position is to plan and prioritize operational program delivery within the Mulgalands Management Unit. The Senior Ranger supervises 10 staff managing approximately 574,000 hectares of parks and forests in the channel country of southwest Queensland, including Currawinya National Park (344,000 ha), one of Queenslands largest and most iconic parks. In this role, you''ll play a key part in protecting our most wonderful places. The successful applicant will oversee park management programs, prepare correspondence such as briefing notes, report on programs and budgets, and manage contracts. Excellent communication and team skills are essential, including liaising with a wide range of internal and external clients, including First Nations groups, to ensure successful implementation of operational programs.
