This is a hands-on, impactful role where your insight, compassion, and understanding will support others on their own paths to recovery.We are seeking someone with prior experience working as a Peer Support Worker, who understands the responsibilities, boundaries, and unique value this role brings to a recovery-oriented environment.Building peer-based mentoring relationships grounded in lived experienceEncouraging life skills and self-advocacySupporting people to make sense of their mental health experiencesParticipating in recovery-focused groups and activitiesContributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings and individual support planningPromoting respectful, inclusive, and safe environments for everyoneMaintaining clear boundaries and practicing ongoing self-reflectionDesired Skills and ExperienceAbout YouTo be considered for this role, you will need to have;Qualifications and CertificatesCurrent National Police Clearance Certificate(no older than six months)A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)A current working with Children CheckA current NDIS Worker Screening CheckA valid Drivers licenceSkills and ExperiencePrevious experience working as a Peer Support Worker (essential)A strong understanding of recovery principles and peer work boundariesThe ability to work collaboratively, flexibly and compassionatelyExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenConfidence to use your lived experience to support others while maintaining professionalismCommitment to inclusion and respect for diversityPositive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress.The ability to live RW values in all workplace tasks and interactions.Pro-active individual who is enthusiastic and committed to upholding RW values and principlesThis role is part-time working Tuesday to Thursday every week.About UsRichmind WA is a leading West Australian mental health organisation, providing inclusive, community-based residential and outreach services for adults and young people.
