Job Description SummaryThe Main Component Exchange (MCE) Technician will work within the existing team in the safe execution of Main Component Exchange and Uptower Repair work on Wind Turbines across Australia on GE Renewable Energy Onshore Wind Services, as directed by the MCE Lead. Flexible on locations on the East Coast of Australia as this role will work on a 3:1 Roster across different Wind Farms in Australia.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesWork within small hands-on work groups during on site execution of MCE/UTR workExecute MCE work as directed by the MCE Lead, involving major crane operations using GE MCE teams, local GE employees, third party contractors, and crane vendorsInspect all major parts to ensure no damage and that they are the right type or configuration for the turbineCheck and validate Inventory Tooling, Parts, any other items required during MCE operationsInterpret the requirements of GE manuals, specifications, bulletins, and complete assigned tasks in accordance with GE work instructionsComplete all the necessary documentation with respect to MCE / UTR executionEnsure data is collected to complete reports on executed MCE/UTR work.Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the organizations JSA, LOTO, EHS and associated policies/proceduresReport errors, violations, incidents, or problems immediately using GE reporting systemsSubmit enquiries to Engineering to ensure technical issues are resolved, and answer questions from Management, Engineering, Sourcing and Project Teams as requiredMake a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspections and report as required to MCE lead/FPM/CMS.Form part of a roster to work weekends and nights if required or as directed by managementPerform high voltage switching operations according to site procedures as requiredBe familiar with and follow all EHS policies, and procedures applicable to their job and report any injuries, spills, near misses or related incidents and any concerns about possible violations of this policyCooperate with GE investigations and EHS audits, and call attention to fellow employees of unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions and practices to their Manager, Supervisor, and EHS Manager/CoordinatorComplete all required EHS TrainingSkills & experienceEither a qualified Electrician, holding appropriate Australian electrical license, with strong mechanical aptitude, or a Mechanical tradespersons, with electrical aptitude.Proficient in fault finding electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.Experience in overall wind farm operations and maintenance, installation, and heavy lift main component exchange.Trained to an intermediate level in computer skills.Must hold the appropriate eligibility, at date of application, to work in Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident of Australia or an Australian Citizen or New Zealand Citizen)Ability and willingness to travel nationally or internationally for work and training, as a part of a 3 week on, 1 week off roster.Desired CharacteristicsMust have positive attitude and the ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an environment of changing prioritiesStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement innovative solutionsExperience in the wind farm industry would be highly desirableStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independentlyGWO/GWO ART QualifiedDogging/Rigging/Franna TicketsAs GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No#LI-Remote - This is a remote position #J-18808-Ljbffr
