Job Description

We are seeking Community Support Workers with significant experience, living in the Fremantle and surrounding areasand willing to provide personal care services throughout the Perth metropolitan area in our newly created pool/float positions.These pool/float positions are a little different to that of a mainstream Community Support Worker position such as:Set days and hours - Monday to Friday, 8am to 2pm (includes hour unpaid lunch break) Cover sick calls these may be allocated as early as 7am for an 8am start in the morning on the day of the serviceCover leave periodsIf no services allocated, you may be required to come into Inglewood to assist with Scheduling or Admin duties for Brightwater at HomeWilling to travel a distance to first client (we endeavour to avoid travel more than 30-45 minutes to first client but there may be requirement to occasionally do so if covering for sick or leave periods)Essential availability: Permanent Part Time (Contracted55 hours per fortnight): Monday to Friday - 8am to 2pmTravel: Must be willing to travel throughout the entire Perth metropolitan area with their own vehicleEssential: The ability to be flexible on a daily basis with an ever-changing roster and travel requirementBrightwater can offer you:Travel within the community and receive an allowance of $0.96 cents per kmMobile phone for work purposesThe ability to salary package up to $18,550 tax free per annum-meaning you can legitimately pay less tax and increase your take-home payOur unique staff benefits program, including access to BrightwaterPlus which gives you discounts with over 370 retailersExtensive learning and development opportunitiesAbout the role:You will be visiting our elderly clients in their own private homes, assisting them to live independently in the community by supporting them with day-to-day tasks, social access and sometimes just keeping them company. Each day is different with different needs and some of the duties include:Delivering quality care and support by ensuring the holistic needs of our clients are met in accordance with their Care Plan and care packagePersonal care including showering, dressing and continence careFacilitating community access opportunities for our clientsProviding cleaning, laundry and meal preparation servicesCompleting documentation and reportsOur friendly Brightwater At Home team will provide all the training and support you require to be the best Community Support Worker that you can be.About you and what you will need:You are comfortable working on your own, and more importantly, care about our clients as much as we doExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiencesAn empathetic and considerate nature and a client-focused approachThe ability to problem-solve and work flexibly without direct supervisionCertificate III in Aged Care/Disability (desirable).A First Aid Certificate (less than 3 years old) or willing to obtainAWestern Australiandrivers license (essential)A reliable, insured car (essential)A satisfactory National PoliceClearance that is less than one year oldApplications must be submitted through Brightwaters online portal.
