Our Infusion Unit, the Thompson Unit, is looking for a full-time (Monday to Friday) ward clerk to join our team. You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a pleasant experience during their admission. As a Ward Clerk, your responsibilities will include: Greeting all customers with care and compassion to ensure patients and families feel comfortable during their hospital stay. Working collaboratively with nursing staff and the Nurse Unit Manager. Preparation of patient files. Booking appointments in coordination with doctors rooms using electronic systems. Medical record filing. Providing clerical support to the clinical team. Liaising with allied health, ward persons, and other hospital departments to facilitate patient treatments or transfers. Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Exhibiting good oral and written communication skills. Being well-organized, able to prioritize, plan, and work under pressure. Working autonomously in a self-directed environment. Having previous experience in a medical environment. Understanding medical terminology. Experience with WebPAS Medical System.
