Located among the worlds premier cities and resort destinations, each custom-designed Park Hyatt hotel combines distinct regional character with elegant brand touches.Engineering team are looking for a Maintenance Technician with hospitality experience and basic IT knowledge within the Engineering departmentAbout The RoleCarries out and completes all maintenance works/requests according to the established schedule and ensures high quality of finishing work. Pays particular attention to guest related jobs.Carry out repairs and maintenance to a quality standard to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel services.Carry out preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.Become familiar with the operation and maintenance of the hotel equipment.To maintain and operate the building services equipment including, air handling units, chillers and associated plant, boilers, hot water circulating system, pump systems, spas and swimming pool equipment as assigned.Ability to work and assist in all areas of the hotel maintenance such as covering painting, working with timber, gyprock, carpet, tiling, silicone work and minor electrical tasks.Shift duties involve working hours that include weekends.Assisting IT operations when necessary or if the IT manager is absentQualificationsKnowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems and related refrigerants, chilled/condenser water componentsBasic knowledge in managing fire main systems and associated pumps, sprinkler systems and equipment, with knowledge of fire, pressure vessel, electrical codes and occupational safety codesBasic IT Knowledge: Familiarity with computer systemsUnderstanding for main/secondary drainage (plumbing) systems, electrical power distribution systemsSafety courses, other related coursesPrevious hotel experience is desiredThis is your chance to work with exclusive clientele at a luxury hotel like no other.
