Respect also has home care services in multiple states, and more than 700 units in different retirement villages and independent living communities.The RoleAs a Laundry Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents by providing high-quality laundry services. You will ensure that all linen and clothing are cleaned, sorted and returned in a timely and hygienic manner, contributing to the comfort and care of our residents.This role suits someone with a strong work ethic, an eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a supportive aged care environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficientlySort, wash, dry, fold and distribute residents clothing and facility linenEnsure correct use and storage of chemicals in accordance with safety guidelinesMaintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry areaAdhere to infection control and workplace health and safety protocolsCollaborate with team members and respond promptly to laundry requestsRespect residents belongings and maintain confidentiality at all timesEssential RequirementsTraining or experience in a commercial laundry settingCurrent National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and time management skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsDesirable RequirementsKnowledge and experience in handling chemicals safelyExperience working in a residential aged care environmentUnderstanding of infection control procedures and manual handling practicesJoin a supportive and respectful team where your work makes a real difference to the lives of our residents.Respect Aged Care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. #J-18808-Ljbffr
