Your role at St John of God Geelong HospitalYou will be responsible for providing high standard support and assistance to patients, visitors, and caregivers, and directing queries accordingly.Assist patients, visitors, and the general public with enquiries and directions. Receive pre-admission forms, check health insurance details, and notify patients of any extra charges they may incur.The PositionMaintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and currency of details, including newborns.Assist patients, visitors, and the general public with enquiries and directions.Receive and create pre-admission forms, check health insurance details, and notify patients of any extra charges.Admit new admissions for the day.Maintain security of keys and the key register.Distribute and coordinate incoming and ongoing mail and faxes.Perform photocopying and other duties as required.Coordinate with the Manager, HIS, or Hospital Coordinator regarding any problems encountered during duty.Maintain cordial relations with patients, families, ancillary staff, and other department members.Work with doctors and nurses, providing assistance with administrative tasks as needed.Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in the health industry are essential.
