Are you a skilled and versatile handyman seeking an exciting opportunity in the hospitality industry? Join our team at Pensione Hotel Perth as a Hotel Handyman and contribute to the seamless operation of our establishment! Responsibilities: Assist the team in providing effective maintenance services to all departments, including hands-on work and delegating tasks to contractors and maintenance staff. Ensure all Work Requests (internal and contractor-related) are raised via myBuildings / Irequest and procedures are followed. Assist the engineering team in maintaining the building, surrounds, plant, machinery, and equipment, following all OH&S and AU standards. Respond to and carry out guest requests and defect repairs, communicating with tradespeople or contractors when outside your capabilities. Identify areas for improvement within the hotel and participate in preventative maintenance plans. Supervise maintenance contractors engaged via myBuildings / IRequest, ensuring high standards and safety. Work flexible hours, including weekends, as required by the property''s needs. Follow security protocols regarding key and card access management. Maintain hotel grooming standards and present a professional appearance. Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager and/or General Manager, including WHS responsibilities. Qualifications and Skills: Experience as a Maintenance Handyperson, with a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS standards. Ability to handle guest requests and perform repairs efficiently. Current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment. Legal right to work in Australia.
