We also provide mental health, community health, and dental services across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.The Pharmacy Department employs 120 EFT staff across various sites, offering clinical pharmacy services, aseptic and oncology preparation, HITH, and outpatient services. It specializes in clinical pharmacy roles, clinical trials, medication safety, medicines information, antimicrobial stewardship, and radiopharmacy. Service expansion includes @home pharmacy services.The department actively participates in pharmacy education and supports staff in continuing education and postgraduate studies. Innovations include electronic discharge prescribing, robotic dispensing, and pharmacy @home programs. Pharmacy technicians support pharmacists and handle sterile and oncology preparations. The Beth Allerton Family Oncology Pharmacy provides chemotherapy preparation, clinical trials, outpatient dispensing, and patient counseling within the Cancer Centre.This casual position supports the Outpatients and Ward Pharmacists at University Hospital Geelong, with potential to work across all campuses.
