We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 500 staff across both campuses in 2025. Were seeking a Head of Primary who understands that primary leadership isnt just about strategyits about care, service, clarity, and deep commitment to a Christ-centred vision of education. This is a calling for someone who can faithfully steward a thriving Primary School, while shaping the lives of students, families, and staff for Christ in lasting ways. This is a full-time position commencing in January 2026, after the retirement of our well-regarded current Head of Primary at the end of 2025. As part of the Colleges Senior Management Team, youll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Primary School and help chart its long-term course. Youll be entrusted with the wellbeing and development of our students, the professional growth of our staff, and the continued strengthening of a community built on faith, integrity and learning. We are looking for an individual who: Is a recognised educational leader with a deep passion for primary Christian education Is a qualified teacher and holds a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Has a clear and strong personal faith and commitment to living and leading in alignment with Biblical principles Brings depth of experience in education with demonstrated leadership in a Primary role and a proven capacity to shape curriculum, guide staff, manage complex school operations, and improve student outcomes. Embodies a collegial and inspirational leadership style, capable of building trust, fostering collaboration, and uniting teams around a shared vision for learning Builds strong, respectful relationships, and works effectively in partnership with students, families, staff, and fellow leaders to strengthen the whole-of-College vision. Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance the learning experience, lift educational standards, and cultivate a love of God and learning in every student.
