Their commitment and expertise are key pillars in ARTC''s journey towards a more sustainable, efficient, and successful future.About The OpportunityThis role supports ARTCs safety and efficiency objectives by fostering a strong vehicle safety culture and ensuring compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law, while optimising heavy vehicle use, cost, and performance in line with organisational policies.ResponsibilitiesEnsure full compliance to Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) through procurement, maintenance, replacement programs, CoR audits, truck modifications / and end of life decommissioningEnsure regular reviews and maintenance management of vehicle cranes to ensure 100 % compliance to Chain of Responsibility and safe work practicesReview and coordinate training for heavy vehicle telematics systems to ensure 100% compliance to Chain of Responsibility (CoR)Undertake an annual fleet review to identify possible rationalisation and replacement scheduleManage the annual heavy vehicle fleet registration process to meet end user and state transport authorities requirementsAnalyse monthly fleet data and generate management reports as required for heavy vehiclesEnsure the accuracy and integrity of heavy vehicle fleet databasesEnsure policies and procedures that relate to the heavy vehicle fleet, human resources and occupational health and safety are effectively practiced and administered and updatedReact and address immediately any heavy vehicle safety notices from regulatory authoritiesAssist and back up the Fleet Manager as required and undertake projects as requestedWhat do we want from you?Minimum MR license with ability to qualify for HR if requiredMechanical Trade Qualifications 5 years experience working with a large fleet of heavy vehicles in a multi-site environmentKnowledge with truck cranes (VLCs) and applicationsPrevious experience in CoR, HVNL management and compliancePrevious experience in Telematics and Fleet systemsClear and concise communications skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within a companyAbility to work as part of a small teamAbility to fully understand, promote and monitor compliance of ARTC policy and procedureCapacity to interpret and discuss vehicle engineering principles and coordinate specialised vehicle building, repairs and ongoing management with vehicle builders and maintainersWhat will you get from us?Talk to us about flexible working optionsCompetitive remunerationResources to support your health and wellbeing and developmentNovated leasing options, as well as discounts and support programs24/7 Employee Assistance Program for all employees and their direct family membersOur Organisation and CultureAt ARTC, were more than just a rail network.
