We are seeking a talented full-time Sales Assistant Industrial / Trade to join our team in our Wodanga Store. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to a diverse range of industrial and trade customers.This hands-on role includes order entry, stock management, customer service, problem-solving and some heavy lifting. You''ll need to be accurate, show good initiative and be comfortable handling sales both in person and over the phone. Strong computer skills are essential and experience with SAP is a bonus.What you''ll be doingYou are in charge of phone and counter sales, processing customer orders, responding to requests for information and pricingYour role includes promotion and up-selling of new productsDevelopment and up-keep of in-store displays, and promotional materialYou will be responsible for the stock management and the dispatching and receiving of goodsLearning and understanding modern Welding processesComply with SPW Safety policies and procedures is requiredWhat we''re looking forYou will have previous experience in a customer service or retail sales role, preferably within the industrial or trade sector (looking for a break for the tools)Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of customersGood problem-solving skills and attention to detailDesire to learn about welding, safety, and industrial productsFlexible and adaptable approach to work with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks including manual handlingAbility to work effectively as part of a teamYou will have a Forklift license or willingness to acquire one is essential,What we offerAt South Pacific Welding Group, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
