Additional information can be found at: www.chubb.com.Your RoleThe primary purpose of this role is to work within the Branch Underwriting team to contribute to the achievement of department, branch and corporate goals relative to profit, growth, service producer and client relations. This role is designed to provide the individual with a strong foundation of underwriting knowledge and industry experience to support a career pathway in insurance. This will include, but not limited to, learning our end-to-end underwriting process, understanding how we assess and manage risk and how we build long term relationships with brokers and clients.Your Responsibilities:Assist Underwriters in achieving new business, rate and retention targets for assigned book of business to support the achievement of Unit/SBU/Branch revenue and profit goals via a number of key accountabilities, including:Assist Underwriters in providing input on underwriting results, profit analysis, market environment, competitor analysis and as required for ad hoc reports and projectsCollaboration with NUC and other internal customers regarding book management strategy and maintenance of one voice with brokers. Assist with preparation for account reviews with Underwriters/management, demonstrating knowledge of risk, industry, competitive environment and Chubbs products and capabilitiesAssist Underwriters in managing sales pipeline to identify and develop new business prospectsUnderwriting Quality & ComplianceAdhere to appropriate underwriting, compliance and file documentation standards and workflows to support the achievement of Branch/SBU revenue and profit goals.Evaluate and make recommendation for acceptance or declination on risks based on existing referral guidelinesRecommend account trade off decisions.Producer RelationsActively develop & manage producer relationships, dealing with queries and handling any issues arisingEngage in external visits with Underwriter to discuss risks, communicate Chubbs business appetites, and to produce new businessQualificationsCompetent in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
