This role offers flexible working arrangements which can be spread over a 5 day working week.The position is suited to someone with excellent skills and 5+ years of experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity provide dietetic services to patients in the community; contribute to the outcomes of the Allied Health Team and Amity Health.About YouThe organisation is looking for an Accredited Practising Dietitian within a similar industry and/or organisation (e.g. Aged Care; NDIS; Hospitals and Private Clinics)You will be an individual with knowledge of Dietetics and practices who can positively impact the community, clients and organisation, with the ability to be flexible and empathetic in nature.As a person, you will hold deep values and integrity and be able to engender trust, empathy and accountability to go along with your business and therapeutic acumen.Some of the key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the below:Suitable candidates will possess the following skills and attributes: Provide high-quality dietetic service to individuals and groups, including the coordinationand implementation of dietetics counselling at Amity Health in Albany, and in the region. Act as a resource person and advocate for quality dietetics management to General Practitioners and Allied Health as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Utilise approved evaluation to measure outcomes in clinical practice and collect appropriate data. Participate in preventative programs and health promotion activities. Promote Amity Health dietetic services with GPs, clinical practice staff, other primary health care providers, and to members of the community. Work with GPs and other primary health care providers regarding appropriate referral processes. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, contribute to optimum health outcomes for patients on care plans. Encourage people to adopt or modify behaviour to better manage their health and wellbeing by provide group education sessions. Contribute to the effective delivery of reportable data, by appropriate electronic clientRecords. Ensure secure management of all records in compliance with applicable privacy legislationand policies.Suitable candidates will possess the following skills and attributes: Eligible for membership of the Dietitians Australia (DA) as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD). Proven ability to appropriately apply evidence-based principles and dietetic knowledge to client management in a primary health care setting. Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated computer literacy skills. Ability to function effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to apply effective time management and organisational skills. Ability to undertake travel within the region, including to remote areas.Personal attributes include: Highly motivated self-starter that can work independently and as a proactive member of a team.Additional requirements: Completion of 100-point identification check. Production of a valid Police Clearance of no more that 12-months old.
