Were looking for a Full-time or Part-time Head Vet Nurse to join our talented and dynamic team at Burpengary Vet Hospital!We pride ourselves on the high level of customer service and veterinary care. We are a practice of 11 Vets, 13 Nurses and 2 Full Time receptionist. Our opening hours are Monday Friday 8am 6pm and Saturdays 8am-1pm.Benefits of Joining Us:Competitive hourly rate and benefits package.Supportive and collaborative team environment.Access to training centres, online courses and dedicated nurse programs.Opportunities for career growth and development.Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle.Staff discounts, including Health and Wellbeing benefitsEmployee Referral BonusPaid parental leave and return to work bonusWhat Were Looking For:Holds certificate IV in Vet Nursing or equivalent qualification.2+ years Vet Nurse experience or experience within a Head Vet Nurse role.Strong experience in nursing and handling a variety of cases.Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure.Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to providing the best service to our clients and their pets.Available to work on a rotating Saturday roster.About The RoleAssisting our veterinarians with routine exams and proceduresProviding surgical and hospital nursing care, including anaesthetic monitoringDelivering pre- and post-operative patient care, as well as offering grief support to clientsAdministering medications and preparing treatments as requiredManaging the admission and discharge process for surgical and hospital patientsCommunicating treatment plans and updates to clientsPerforming blood collection, testing, and IV catheter placementAssisting with diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds)Supporting dental care, including scale and polish and performing dental x-raysContributing to day-to-day nursing tasks to support our vets and team in providing the highest standard of patient careMentoring and training of Vet Nurses within the teamApply Now!If youre looking to make a real impact in a vibrant, rewarding clinic, wed love to hear from you.
