Current projects include the largest solar farm in NSW and the largest resources project in NSW.More information is on our website www.onward.auWe are seeking an experienced engagement practitioner and/or social planner to be based in our Armidale, Newcastle, or Brisbane office.Key accountabilities of the role are:prepare social impact assessments, social needs assessments, industry and Aboriginal participation plans, community benefit sharing plans, workforce development plans, social impact management plans, and engagement plansdesign and deliver community and stakeholder engagement to support a diverse range of projectsanalyse social data and community feedback to assess social risks and identify and advise on mitigation strategies, plans and programs to address social impacts of a development projectensure that projects and programs comply with engagement and social impact assessment guidelines and frameworks and provide guidance on engagement, social licence and social planningengage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to understand project requirements and address social and community concerns and provide professional and expert advice to clients on engagement, social impact planning, impact assessment, and benefit sharingwork collaboratively with teams across the business and client representatives to achieve project objectives, contribute to project meetings and update Project Managers on project status and risksensure that all deliverables, including plans, reports, assessments, meet high-quality standardscomplete tasks in accordance with agreed timeframes, budgets, scope of work and outcomescontribute to the preparation of fee proposals and tender submissionsfoster effective communication and teamwork across the businessadopt a customer-centric partnership approach, ensuring services meet or exceed client expectationsstay up to date with emerging trends, regulations, and best practicesbuild and maintain strong client relationshipsexemplify the companys values of Connection, Tenacity and ExcellenceAbout you - skills and experienceYou will:hold a bachelors degree in social science, communication, anthropology, geography, environment, sociology, planning, arts, or other relevant disciplinehave 3-4 years experience in stakeholder and community engagement and/or social planninghave strong people skills and a proven collaborative working stylestrong written and verbal communication abilities, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholderseffective stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated capability for engagement designsound analytical and planning skillsBenefits of working with OnwardThe benefits offered include:competitive remuneration packagecontemporary benefits such as salary packaging and leave purchasing optionsa progressive and supportive team cultureformal training and professional development opportunitiesflexible working arrangements including working from homecontemporary hardware and softwaremodern offices in four key locations (Armidale, Newcastle, Brisbane and Melbourne)We offer the opportunity to join an emerging company and grow with us.
