Our design solutions are aimed at transforming the way people interact with their built environment.|Job PurposeYour purpose and key objective as a Graduate of Architecture is to develop the technical knowledge and skillsets required to competently meet the requirements of the role, through direct exposure on projects.This will be achieved by supporting the Interior Design team outputs, contributing to project deliverables, and gaining exposure to the various project challenges we as a team must resolve.It is expected that a Graduate of Architecture will use this role to develop:a thorough understanding of the National Code of Construction.a strong ACAD/Revit technical documentation capability.a strong Creative Suite (InDesign Photoshop) capability.a developed understanding of industry Furniture, Finishes & Equipment specifications.a developed understanding of project management process.a developed understanding of design coordination process.a developed understanding of project profitability (time and cost management).|ResponsibilitiesOperationalComply with IA Group operating/quality policies and procedures at all times.Comply with IA Group CAD & Revit documentation standards at all times.Proactively assist in the curation, development, and management of the design library, and assist in building and maintaining relationships with industry suppliers, partners and collaborators.Actively manage incoming calls / visitors, providing administration support where required by studio leaders.Take a leading role in maintaining a clean and tidy studio environment and actively ensuring basic amenities are provided.Clients and New Business ManagementAttend local industry events ensuring to maintain IA Design''s visibility within the local market as a professional top tier Design Company.Assist with the development of tender/proposal content.Projects and DeliveryAssist design teams to deliver high quality projects, within the agreed time allocation ensuring profitability.Participate/assist with undertaking complete project briefings with the client/representative, assist with the return brief development.Assist design teams with site audits and associated documentation development, including presentations.Support design teams with project administration requirements.Contribute to design commentary and concept generation, including 3D visuals using Sketchup and EnscapeAssist project teams to meet BMS project management requirements.|Key Result AreasDevelop strong capabilities within ACAD, Revit, Sketchup and Adobe creative software.Support design teams with all project requirementsDevelop a knowledge of the requirements of BCA/NCC, Australian Standards and Local Government/Certification bodies.Successfully participate and contribute to profitable project deliverables.Meet and exceed the assigned Skills Matrix average level related to your job description.|Education and ExperienceCurrently in studies or completed bachelors degree or within an Architecture/ Design or related discipline.Proficient use of Microsoft Office packages (word, excel, outlook and MS teams)Proficient use of Adobe Create Suite, specifically Indesign and PhotoshopA developing/moderate use of ACAD and/or RevitA developing/moderate use of Sketchup.|Personal AttributesConsistently bring innovative, fresh ideas to the design team that are project appropriate.Ownership taker-prepared to take responsibility and accountability.Values training, new challenges, and opportunities to develop own self and advance own skill set while continually raising the bar to a higher level of performance demonstrated by making a concentrated effort to absorb lessons learned and then applying this new knowledge to own work moving forward.Communicator-asks the right questions, establishes a communication framework and is proactive.Presentation skills-able to engage an audience.Evaluation-an approach to problem solving that provides alternative solutions.Developing commercial acumen to understand our business needs and our client business needs.| What it''s like to work for IAIA promotes an inclusive and flexible work environment with opportunities for national collaboration across our studios.
