It is an inclusive and safety focused company with long-term stability and market growth.About the OpportunityDue to our increasing presence in the sweeper sector, we now invite you, as an experienced and professional Operations Supervisor to consider joining us to work in the Operations Department based in Rockhampton; a small but bustling Central Queensland city that boasts a mix of urban, rural, suburban and village living, a reputation as Australias Beef and Barru capital and a mild climate.To add to this, our Rockhampton site has a solid demand for street sweeping services, to maintain the city''s beautiful tree-lined boulevards and laneways. Your previous supervisory experience, truck driving prowess and passion for customer service in a growing company will ensure your success and career path. This permanent full-time position is a significant and valued part of the team and reports to the State Manager.If this sounds like your skills and experience could be a good fit, please read furtherWhat are the main responsibilities of this role?Provide support to our operational staff to assist them to deliver service to the highest standard and to exceed clients expectationsPlay a leadership role in driving efficiencies and implementing new initiativesDrive employee performance in the key areas of plant maintenance procedures, work practices and benchmarksIdentify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with new and existing customersManage key administrative functions, including contracts, agreements, customer quotations and proposalsPrepare reports for management as directedOperate a sweeper on a needs basisMonitor and demonstrate Work Health & Safety practicesWhat do I need to have to be successful in this role?An experienced and professional supervisor background with leadership qualities in an operational environment (minimum 2 years)Hands on approach and preference for not being tied to a desk, underscored with a demonstrated mechanical aptitudeStrong work ethic and customer focusAbility and flexibility to guide your team to required standards and company directionsEnjoyment in working in a team environmentSolid time management and prioritising skillsExcellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skillsA solution-based approach to various work and client needsMR Licence and a Construction Industry White CardAbility to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, drug and alcohol testThis is your chance to be part of the new era and be driving the future of the business in our successful Queensland state.
