Reference ID R179881 Updated 06/11/2025Production Engineering UpstreamLocation: Australia, ChinchillaWhats The RoleYou will be responsible for the day-to-day operational activities, troubleshooting, minor maintenance tasks, and acting as the Area Owner for all wells and gathering systems in an assigned geographical area. You will work closely with Production Support Engineers (PSEs) to optimise well performance and investigate issues.What Youll Be DoingMore specifically, you will be accountable for:Ensuring the safe operation of assigned well & gathering assets, maximising Production and Well Availability, with a focus on Operational Excellence, Maintenance Excellence, and Production Optimisation initiatives within your area.Troubleshooting well sites, hydraulic power units, gathering, and communication systems.Identifying current and potential well site issues through data analysis of trends in production monitoring tools and systems, collaborating with WRFM (Wells Reservoir Facilities and Management) PSEs.Undertaking safe start-up, shutdown, and isolation of well sites, completing surveillance and optimisation tasks, and conducting downhole failure investigations as directed by PSEs.Fulfilling legal compliance requirements, including emissions inspections and environmental compliance. Ensuring MOC Compliance and Front-Line Barrier Health.Maintaining Asset Integrity of Wells & Gathering Infrastructure.Monitoring workplace hazards and taking corrective actions. Promoting a reporting culture that emphasizes non-compliance reporting and Goal Zero behaviours.Performing minor authorised maintenance tasks and raising Corrective Maintenance work requests, including work planning and materials management.Focusing on Operational Excellence and Production Optimisation within your area.Work Schedule: 15/13 Day Roster (11-hour days)What You BringWe are keen to speak to professionals with:Cert III in Production Operations or relevant trade qualifications (or equivalent experience/demonstrated technical aptitude).Experience troubleshooting hydraulic power units, gathering and communication systems, and operating Process Plant Equipment, Gas Fired Engines, Hydraulic Motors, and Pumps.Intermediate skills in Instrumentation, Mechanical Diagnostics, data analysis, and computing (Microsoft Office, Maximo CMMS, PI Data & Trending, e-vision PTW, Document Management systems).Ability to perform Safe Systems of Work roles, optimise well production using systems and data, and analytical skills.Knowledge of Production Operations policies, risk management, and emergency response.Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment, including Safe Driving Behaviours.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively in a team.
