The Team:On Ward 2A General Medicine we are a close-knit team. We are based at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), our states largest acute centre, Level 2 A block. Ward 2A is an Acute Medical ward with a wide variety of patients. Its an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practice that has people at the centre. Your role will see you provide a valuable service to the Tasmanian community. Well look after you from the very beginning, ensure you are fully inducted, welcomed into our team and into our culture. Take a look at the Statement of Duties below for more details.The Role:Maintain clean hygienic surrounding to facilitate the control of infection.Maintenance of basic ward equipment.Ensure patient confidentiality.You will need:Demonstrated knowledge of the standards required to prevent infection.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and public.Ability and willingness to work as part of a team in promoting a harmonious work environment.Ability to monitor ward/unit stock and stores, ordering when appropriate.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Why Tasmania:The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services.
