Job Description

Yorketown Medical Practice provides community-based healthcare services including family health, preventative medicine, shared antenatal care, and minor surgical procedures, and works closely with the hospital. The practice is co-located with the hospital and services the community of Yorketown and surrounding districts. As an Administration Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your role will be essential in ensuring our practice runs smoothly and efficiently while delivering an exceptional standard of care. About the role Casual position Located in Yorketown Key responsibilities include: Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and compassionate manner. Organising and scheduling patient appointments. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. Providing administrative support to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Answering phone calls and addressing patient enquiries. Managing billing, payments, and other administrative duties as needed. About You: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor. Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is an advantage but not essential.
