Experience with roads, pavements, ports and utilities is ideal with exposure to projects up to $100m+.Our client is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to oversee the successful development and delivery of a major logistics project. Youll be based in either the Sydney CBD or Newcastle office, this is a senior leadership role requiring extensive project management expertise in the infrastructure sector.The Project Director will lead and manage all aspects of the Project from concept development through to completion. This includes providing oversight and project leadership across scoping, forecasting, risk management, procurement, and supplier engagement to finance, design, construct, and operate the Project.Key responsibilities include: Providing leadership and direction to a multi-disciplinary team of technical, commercial, planning, community engagement, project controls, and governance specialists. Building and maintaining strong internal relationships across divisions including Operations, Project Delivery, PMO, Finance, Planning, and Communities. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and local communities to resolve technical issues and ensure consistency across design disciplines. Leading internal approvals and governance processes, including steering committee reports, executive leadership papers and procurement processes. Reporting regularly on project progress to maintain transparency and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.The ideal candidate will have: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, commerce, economics, finance, law, or a related field.
