In conjunction with Monaro Fuel Haulage (Monaro), a related family business, the ECC & Monaro Group provides services across Australia, specialising in bulk liquids, general freight & dangerous goods.About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has presented in our Townsville workshop for a Workshop Leading Hand to join a supportive and close-knit team. This full-time, permanent opportunity reports directly to the Workshop Supervisor and is responsible for supporting the supervisor with overseeing other experienced fitters on the workshop floor, providing guidance and hands on support.RosterRotating 2 Week RosterWeek 1 - Monday to FridayWeek 2 - Tuesday to SaturdayKey ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the on-call roster as needed.Assist raise work orders for all completed work.Act as the 2IC for the Workshop Supervisor when required.Ensure all vehicle maintenance is up to date and compliant.Provide trade-qualified guidance to workshop employees.Monitor timely completion of repairs, defects, and servicing.Qualifications and Skills:Trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics (Heavy Road Transport highly desirable) with 3 years trade experience is essential.Experience as a leading hand or similar role (highly desirable).Knowledge of Kenworth will be held in high regard.Experience with the maintenance of fuel trucks and trailers (highly desirable).Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised whilst maintaining a safe work area.Attractive hourly rate and benefits package.Opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and compliance.Career development and training opportunities.Full-time, permanent employment opportunity with an AU Logistics industry leader that is achieving continued growth.If you are a proactive leader with a strong technical background and a commitment to safety and compliance, we want to hear from you!All applicants must be entitled to work in Australia and be prepared to undergo a criminal history check, pre-employment medical and/or drug & alcohol testing as required.How to ApplyTo apply for this exciting opportunity, click the ''Apply for this job'' link on this page.
