Basic Function Provide coverage and case management for persons served in community-based vocational habilitation, group employment, individual employment, and career planning services, as well as other vocational and transition services. These may include backup coverage at group employment or other community sites, on-site training, job coaching, supervision, follow-along assistance, career discovery, career exploration, benefits education/analysis, employment planning, and job development. The expected outcomes for individuals served include paid employment and work experience leading to further career development and their ultimate achievement of competitive integrated employment and/or career advancement. Responsibilities Provide backup coverage for Site Supervisors or Skills Trainers, including planned and emergency coverage in their absence. Instruct individuals at group employment and community-based assessment sites in assigned functions, ensuring standards are met. Participate in developing and preparing individual plans for persons served. Monitor and document participants progress, complete daily documentation, and maintain participant files according to standards. Develop or customize community-based employment opportunities by networking with employers, reviewing postings, conducting cold calls, attending job fairs, and expanding opportunities. Coordinate placement activities with team members and employers to ensure smooth transitions. Evaluate participants work readiness and skills using observation and testing. Provide career planning services, including discovery, exploration, employment plan development, and benefits education/analysis. Offer job coaching and transportation training services to promote independence and social integration. Assist in developing new employment sites and conduct follow-up satisfaction surveys. Coordinate services with staff, attend meetings, and perform other related duties as needed. Qualifications Associates degree in a human services field or high school diploma/GED with relevant experience. CESP certification preferred or ability to obtain within 13 months. Experience working with adults with disabilities is strongly preferred. Strong communication skills, professional appearance, and organizational ability. Knowledge of the local labor market is a plus. Effective interaction skills and a positive attitude are essential. Flexibility to work in various sectors and shifts, including evenings/weekends. Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office. Physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting (50 lbs.), and reliable transportation with a valid Ohio drivers license.
